Long-flange millipede spotted trying to cross the road
Geat Steemians,
I Welcome you to my blog while i will be introducing to you the kind of millipede i came across yesterday night.
This millipede is called Long-flange by name....
It is a species of Paradoxosomatidae.....
It botanical name is Asiomorpha coarctata.
We have them in both male and female.....
This kind of millipede is harmless as it is not fatal to humans, but then it has hydrogen cyanide smell which they use in repelling their predators.
Commonly, It can be seen during raining season or when there is extreme drought. In the forest to be precise.
Millipedes always get their food from rotten organic matters.
