My Favorite TV Show

Everyone who was born in USSR will easily recognize this character of the TV show. For each of us, the day ended on this tune. In the last chords, parents sent each child to bed. That was the iron rule!

Tired toys are sleeping
Tired toys are sleeping, books are sleeping.

Usually the show was led by two characters, a good naive hare Stepan and a sly and at the same time dumb pig Hroosha
(That means somthing like Oink) Pig was a real cunning ass. He constantly got into some kind of story. The hare helped him out and read boring notations to him. After a short performance of these characters, a cartoon was usually shown.





Time passed. And once in the late 80s, something completely different, unusual and unexpected, suddenly appeared on Soviet TV. These were the days of British TV in the USSR. This character appeared on the screen.

And a completely different melody sounded.

It was summer time. Muppets were usually shown every day in a block of three episodes at exactly 15 hours. Exactly at 15 o’clock the streets were empty! Not a single child was visible!

We got older. We became interested in a few other things. But with constant joy, we met a familiar screen saver on a TV screen. Usually this screensaver portended something new and interesting.

Now a cunning gentleman named Benny Hill shone on the screen. I think that not only I liked the chic beauties surrounding the comedian. My strict grandmother said: "I do not like this comedian! He constantly pulls his hands where he should,nt!"

Honestly, at those days we did not understand all his jokes. The meaning became clear after many years. However I don’t understand ane of his jokes even now... :-)

Все, кто родился в СССР, легко узнают данного персонажа этого телешоу. Для каждого из нас день заканчивался этой мелодией. На последних аккордах родители отправляли своего ребенка спать. И это было железное правило!

Слова. словно записанные в подкорку:

Обычно шоу возглавляли два персонажа, хороший наивный заяц Степан и хитрожопый и в то же время тупой свин Хрюша. Свин постоянно попадал в какую-то историю. Заяц помогал ему и потом читал скучные нотации. После короткого представления этих персонажей обычно показывали мультфильм.

Время прошло. И однажды, в конце 80-х, на советском телевидении вдруг появилось нечто совершенно иное, необычное и неожиданное. Это были дни британского телевидения в СССР. Этот персонаж появился на экране.

И звучала совершенно другая мелодия. Я думаю, что вы можете легко вспомнить её))))

Это было летнее время. Маппетов обычно показывались каждый день блоком из трех эпизодов ровно в 15 часов. И ровно в 15 часов улицы были пустынны! Ни одного ребенка не было видно!

Мы стали старше. Мы стали интересоваться несколько другими вещами. Но с постоянной радостью мы встречали знакомую заставку Таймз телевижн на нашем телеэкране. Обычно эта заставка предвещала нечто новое и интересное.
