Alice in Babaland

I have already posted this drawing once. But it seems to me that the picture is from the category of the best. So I decided to post this art work again. It seems to me that this is not such a big sin. Artists make a picture for a long time not to show it once to a narrow circle of people. For a long time, the paintings have been moving through various exhibitions and vernissages. So, we will assume that the picture arrived at the vernissage of steem.

I created this unusual plot for an #art #competition called "Fairy Tale" It would seem that there is nothing easier. To prevent the participants from copying other people's works or photographs, the organizers of the competition introduced a very important condition. The artists were required to depict a plot with a combination of two or three different famous fairy tales. I chose the heroes of the fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland" and placed them in the location of the Russian fairy tale about "Baba Yaga". Baba Yaga is a witch who lives in the forest, in a house on chicken legs.

So, from the smoke of marijuana, Alice's face appears. She is holding in her hands a strange lamp, which she needs because she is going into a dark forest.

Alice's constant companion is an unpleasant creature named Humpty Dumpty. This time he wears the clothes of a Russian prince.

The second plan of the picture is entirely devoted to the location. This is a dark, dark forest in which the house of "Baba Yaga" is hiding

I decided to draw a floral ornament around the perimeter of the picture. But when I started #drawing the pattern, I realized that it would take a very long time.

At first I planned to name the painting "Alice in the Baba Yaga Country". I made a markup for the letters. But in the process of drawing, it became clear that there was not enough space. Then the picture received a new name "Alice in Babaland"
