Hello Everyone,
Throwback to the moment when I went to Bali, I visited one of the tallest statues in Indonesia before its inauguration. It is the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), which is built around 28 years due to the change of government regime in Indonesia at that time, which made the investors were reluctant to proceed with the original plan until the political situation in Indonesia relatively conducive a few years later. It completely amazes me as it has a lot of artwork and efforts attached to the great statue. I am very proud that this proves that Indonesian artists are truly capable to produce such masterpiece artwork.

If I understand correctly, is this statue cast in cement?
The statue is made of copper and bronze slabs. Source Sculpture material is processed by using an acid solution which eventually forms a copper color that is similar to the color of a stone or temple.
Afterward, cement was put into a hole approximately two meters deep, where the GWK statue was erected. Source
