Hello all ...
This time I want to participate again in the 18th macro photography contest held by Mod WORLD OF XPILAR @sultan-aceh and supported directly by @xpilar.

Today I want to post a photo of an insect that I found in the forests of Aceh, Indonesia. The name of this insect is the Stomorhina.

Stomorhina is a type of fly that usually inhabits grasslands. Flies are somewhat similar to house flies, but they have the characteristic feature of a prominent proboscis, an elongated striped chest and abdomen with yellow and black bands.

They can usually be found feeding on nectar and flower pollen. And I found this fly standing still in the grass in the wind. Even when the wind blows, these flies do not fly away from the grass and are also still.
