CONTEST EXCLUSIVE WEEK XIII - COMMUNITY WORLD OF XPILAR | Pterophoridae which resemble a piece of dry grass attached to a leaf
Pterophoridae
Hello all...
This time I want to participate again in the 13th macro photography contest held by Mod WORLD OF XPILAR @sultan-aceh and supported directly by @xpilar.
Today I want to post a photo of an insect that I found in the forests of Aceh, Indonesia. The name of this insect is the Pterophoridae.
Pterophoridae or feather moths are a family of Lepidoptera with commonly modified wings. I found these moths behind leaves, and these moths are mating.
The first time I saw this moth, I thought it was just a piece of dry grass stuck to the leaves.
Often they resemble a piece of hay and may go unnoticed by potential predators even when resting in open situations during the day. Some species have larvae which are stem or root borer while others are leaf borer.
And there are some photos of Pterophoridae that I can take, let's take a peek:

so many photos that I can take, I hope you are all happy and satisfied visiting my blog.
That is all and thank you.
