Distraction
Distraction is a term used to describe a detour of attention by a person when he or she should be attending to something specific. This can be an entirely mechanical phenomenon, and can originate from an inability to pay attention, a lack of interest in the object of attention, or simply an increased interest or attraction to something other than the primary object of attention.
Distractions come either from external sources, such as those recognized by physical stimuli and senses, or from internal sources, such as thought, emotion, fantasies or physical urges.
Momentary and frequent lapses of attention increase the risk that our thoughts may be trapped by undesirable environmental components.
In children, inattention is characterized by the inability to concentrate on the same activity for a long period of time, resulting in constant task switching and being easily distracted, however, unlike Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), absent-minded or distractible children do not exhibit hyperactive and restless behavior, nor do they have problems with self-control.
As has been usual in my previous posts, I use the image editing tools provided by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original photographs in order to make them more attractive to the eye, cropping them and modifying the contrast, lighting, shadows, saturation and other parameters.
Distracción
Distracción es un término usado para describir una desviación de la atención por parte de una persona cuando debería atender a algo específico. Este puede ser un fenómeno absolutamente mecánico, y puede originarse por una inhabilidad de prestar atención, por una falta de interés en el objeto de la atención, o simplemente, por un mayor interés o atracción hacia algo diferente al objeto primario de la atención.
Las distracciones provienen, bien sea, de fuentes externas, tales como los reconocidos por los estímulos y sentidos físicos, o por fuentes internas, como pueden ser el pensamiento, la emoción, las fantasías o las urgencias físicas.
Los momentáneos y frecuentes lapsus de atención, aumentan el riesgo de que nuestros pensamientos puedan verse atrapados por componentes ambientales no deseables.
En los niños, la falta de atención se caracteriza por la incapacidad para concentrarse en una misma actividad durante un largo período de tiempo, lo cual provoca que cambie constantemente de tarea y se distraiga con facilidad, sin embargo, a diferencia del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH), los niños despistados o distraídos no presentan una conducta hiperactiva e inquieta, ni tampoco tienen problemas de autocontrol.
Como ha sido usual en mis posts anteriores, empleo las herramientas de edición de imágenes que proporcionan las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intevenir las fotografías originales con la finalidad de hacerlas más atractivas a la vista, recortándolas y modificando los valores de contraste, iluminación, sombras, saturación y otros parámetros.
