Self-Esteem
Self-esteem is the concept or perception that a person has of himself, that is, it is the perceptual evaluation of oneself, and includes how we evaluate or perceive our way of being, the features of our body and our character.
Its construction begins in childhood and continues throughout life. It can be modified or altered depending on personal experiences and the environment in which the person grows and develops.
It is related to concepts such as self-worth and self-confidence, and is commonly divided between high and low.
A person with a high level of self-esteem has confidence and a high sense of self-worth. They possess willpower and feel motivated and enthusiastic.
On the contrary, a person with low self-esteem usually finds it difficult to value and recognize the characteristics that differentiate him/her from others. They have a negative inner discourse and low self-confidence.
Every person is capable of developing a positive self-esteem. On the other hand, there is no one who has a totally undeveloped self-esteem. The more flexible a person is, the greater his or her capacity to resist anything that would otherwise cause him or her to fall into defeat or despair.
In this opportunity, as I have done the most recent times, besides the drawing of the female figure that I usually do in pencil, I also used the tip of a cotton swab in order to uniform or degrade the shadows that are obtained as a result of the illumination of the selected model. In all cases, I choose the images from the twitter network.
Autoestima
La autoestima es el concepto o la percepción que una persona tiene de sí misma, es decir, es la evaluación perceptiva de uno mismo, e incluye, como evaluamos o percibimos nuestra manera de ser, los rasgos de nuestro cuerpo y nuestro carácter.
Su construcción se inicia desde la infancia y continúa a lo largo de toda la vida. Puede modificarse o alterarse en función de las experiencias personales, y del entorno en el que la persona crece y se desarrolla.
Está relacionada con conceptos tales como la autovaloración y la autoconfianza, y comúnmente se divide entre alta y baja.
Una persona con un alto nivel de autoestima, tiene confianza y un elevado sentido del valor por sí misma. Posee fuerza de voluntad y se siente motivada y entusiasta.
Por el contrario, una persona con baja autoestima, usualmente encuentra dificultades para valorar y reconocer las características que la diferencian de los demás. Posee un discurso interior negativo y poca confianza en sí misma.
Toda persona es capaz de desarrollar una autoestima positiva. Por otra parte, no existe alguien que presente una autoestima totalmente sin desarrollar. Cuanto más flexible es una persona, mayor es su capacidad de resistir todo aquello que, de otra manera, lo haría caer en la derrota o la desesperación.
En esta oportunidad, tal como le hecho las veces más recientes, además del dibujo de la figura femenina que suelo realizar a lapiz, también utilicé la punta de un hisopo de algodón con la finalidad de uniformizar o degradar las sombras que se obtienen como resultado de la iluminación de la modelo seleccionada. En todos los casos, las imágenes las escojo de la red twitter.
