Theater
The theater is one of the oldest cultural and artistic activities known to mankind. Its origins date back to the evolution of magical rituals related to hunting or harvesting, which together with music and dance, gave free rein to authentic dramatic ceremonies where, in addition to worshiping the gods, also served to express the spiritual principles of the community.
It is one of the three performing arts, that is, those that take place on a stage, and basically consists of the recreation of one or more stories of various kinds through actors, speeches, music and scenery. It is also known as theater to the building where these stories are traditionally presented.
The theater has been preserved throughout history for various purposes, but it has always been used as a tool to communicate ideas massively. Indeed, the ancient Greeks used it as an instrument of religious and civic education, representing on stage their myths and their famous tragedies.
Therefore, it is a very versatile art form, combining intellectual exercise with the representation of funny, moving and shocking situations, among other themes. There are very varied forms of theatrical representation, some of which do not even take place within the facilities of a theater, but in the street, and some even require the participation of the public.
The Baralt Theater is a neoclassical building dating from 1883, intended for theatrical, dance and musical performances, and is located a short distance from the Bolivar Square (Plaza Bolivar) in the city of Maracaibo, in the northwestern corner of Venezuela.
Subsequently, the building was demolished in 1928 in order to expand its original capacity of 400 people to almost 1000 spectators, being rebuilt according to the design of the Belgian architect Leon Jerome Höet, finally reopening on December 19, 1932 with the characteristics it has today.
As I have described in previous posts, I use the filters and image editing tools provided by the Picsart and Snapseed applications that I have downloaded on my cell phone, in order to modify the photos until I reach a result that I consider satisfactory.
Teatro
El teatro es una de las actividades culturales y artísticas más antiguas de las que tenga noticia la humanidad. Sus orígenes se remontan hasta la evolución de los rituales mágicos relacionados con la caza o la recolección de la cosecha, que junto a la música y la danza, dieron rienda suelta a auténticas ceremonias dramáticas donde, además de rendirle culto a los dioses, también servían para expresar los principios espirituales de la comunidad.
Es una de las tres artes escénicas, es decir, aquellas que tienen lugar sobre un escenario, y consiste básicamente en la recreación de una o varias historias de diversa índole mediante actores, discursos, música y escenografía. También se conoce como teatro a la edificación donde se presentan tradicionalmente dichas historias.
El teatro se ha conservado a lo largo de la historia con diversos objetivos, pero siempre ha sido usado como una herramienta para comunicar ideas masivamente. En efecto, los antiguos griegos lo empleaban como un instrumento de educación religiosa y ciudadana, representando en escena sus mitos y sus célebres tragedias.
Por lo tanto, es una forma de arte muy versátil, que combina el ejercicio intelectual con la representación de situaciones graciosas, conmovedoras, impactantes, entre otros temas. Existen formas muy variadas de representación teatral, algunas de las cuales ni siquiera tienen lugar dentro de las instalaciones de un teatro, sino en la calle, y algunas incluso, exigen la participación del público.
El Teatro Baralt es una edificación de estilo neoclásico que data de 1883, destinado a las representaciones teatrales, dancísticas y musicales, y que se ubica a corta distancia de la Plaza Bolívar de la ciudad de Maracaibo, en el extremo noroccidental venezolano.
Posteriormente, la edificación es demolida en 1928 con la finalidad de ampliar su aforo original de 400 personas hasta casi 1000 espectadores, siendo reconstruida de acuerdo al diseño del arquitecto belga León Jerome Höet, reinaugurándose finalmente el 19 de diciembre de 1932 con las características que posee hoy en día.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, empleo los filtros y herramientas de edición de imágenes que proporcionan las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed que he descargado en mi teléfono móvil, con la finalidad de modificar las fotos hasta alcanzar un resultado que considere satisfactorio.
