Pride
Pride is a feeling of satisfaction towards something of one's own or close to one that is considered meritorious. It can have a positive or negative connotation depending on the context and the feeling it represents.
It is a derogatory term when it describes an excess of esteem towards oneself and one's own merits, by which the person may believe him/herself superior to others, showing contempt.
In contrast, when pride refers to a person's dignity, or proper self-esteem, or positive feeling towards another person, it is considered a positive feeling.
It can also be understood as the self-affirmation and vindication of what one is, and of the group or collective to which one belongs.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the tools provided by the PicsArt application to edit the original image using an overlay of filters and adjusting the brightness, contrast and lighting volumes to obtain this result that I share with everyone.
El orgullo es un sentimiento de satisfacción hacia algo propio o cercano a uno que se considera meritorio. Puede tener una connotación positiva o negativa en función del contexto y del sentimiento que representa.
Es un término despectivo cuando describe un exceso de estimación hacia uno mismo y hacia los méritos propios, por los cuales la persona puede creerse superior a los demás, mostrando su desprecio.
Por el contrario, cuando el orgullo se refiere a la dignidad de una persona, o a la estima apropiada de sí mismo, o al sentimiento positivo hacia otra persona, se le considera un sentimiento positivo.
También puede entenderse como la autoafirmación y reivindicación de lo que uno es, y del grupo o colectivo al cual se pertenece.
Como he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas que proporciona la aplicación PicsArt para editar la imagen original empleando una superposición de filtros y ajustando los volúmenes de brillo, contraste e iluminación para obtener este resultado que comparto con todos.
