Infinitus
Infinite, a word that comes from the Latin: "infinitus", is that which does not have, nor will have, a term or an end. The concept is used in various fields of human knowledge, such as mathematics, philosophy and astronomy, while religions describe God as an infinite being and those who follow his precepts will be worthy of eternal life.
In the day to day, the use of the concept of infinite does not necessarily imply something without end or eternal, but is usually used to refer to something that appears in great quantity or whose dimensions are very considerable.
Also very common is the use of the Latin expression "ad infinitum", which means "for eternity."
I took this image a few years ago, during a short trip to the Our Lady del Carmen Mission and the Exotic Tropical Floral Park, a beautiful botanical garden located in an old mission from the 18th century, founded by Fray Joseph de Cádiz, of the Order of the Capuchin Friars Minor, a short distance from the city of San Felipe, in the middle west of Venezuela.
I made the original image in color, and later modified using the editing tools offered by the PicsArt application, which I have on my mobile phone.
El infinito, palabra que proviene del vocablo latín: "infinitus", es aquello que no tiene, ni tendrá, término o fin. El concepto se utiliza en diversos ámbitos del conocimiento humano, como las matemáticas, la filosofía y la astronomía, mientras las religiones describen a Dios como un ser infinito y quienes sigan sus preceptos, serán merecedores de la vida eterna.
En el día a día, la utilización del concepto de infinito no implica necesariamente algo sin final o eterno, sino que suele emplearse para hacer referencia a algo que se presenta en gran cantidad o cuyas dimensiones son muy considerables.
También es muy común el uso de la expresión latina "ad infinitum", que significa "para la eternidad."
Tomé esta imagen unos años atrás, durante un paseo a la Misión Nuestra Señora del Carmen y Parque de la Exótica Floral Tropical, un hermoso jardín botánico ubicado en una antigua misión del Siglo XVIII, fundada por Fray Joseph de Cádiz, de la Orden de los Hermanos Menores Capuchinos, a corta distancia de la ciudad de San Felipe, en el centro occidente venezolano.
La imagen original la realicé a color, y posteriormente modificada haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrece la aplicación PicsArt, la cual tengo en mi teléfono móvil.
