I took this photograph a few years ago, during a brief walk to the picturesque town of Cubiro, located about 57 km southwest of the city of Barquisimeto, on a trip that takes about an hour and a half by vehicle. It is part of the so-called "cold towns of the Lara State" because it is 1570 meters above sea level, so it has a pleasant temperature that ranges between 14 °C and 20 °C throughout the year, which allows it to position itself as a tourist destination par excellence in western Venezuela.
The abundant offer of restaurants, hotels and inns for all tastes and budgets, in addition to horseback riding that take place on its hills, make this mountain town an excellent option for family enjoyment.
The original image taken in color, I modified it making use of the editing tools that the PicsArt application has, using an overlay of filters, starting with a filter of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) type in order to expand the tones of the image original, and later a simple B&W filter to finish with a slight adjustment of the brightness, contrast, highlight and shadow values to highlight the female figure.
Esta fotografía la tomé unos años atrás, durante un breve paseo que realizara a la pintoresca población de Cubiro, ubicado a unos 57 Kms. al suroeste de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, en un viaje que toma alrededor de hora y media en vehículo. Forma parte de los llamados "pueblos fríos del Estado Lara" por encontrarse a 1570 metros sobre el nivel del mar, por lo que cuenta con una agradable temperatura que oscila entre los 14°C y 20°C durante todo el año, lo que le permite posicionarse como un destino turístico por excelencia en el occidente venezolano.
La abundante oferta de restaurantes, hoteles y posadas para todos los gustos y presupuestos, además de los paseos a caballo que se realizan en sus lomas, hacen de este poblado de montaña una excelente opción para el disfrute en familia.
La imagen original tomada a color, la modifiqué haciendo uso de la herramientas de edición que posee la aplicación PicsArt, empleando una superposición de filtros, comenzando con un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la imagen original, y posteriormente un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro para culminar con un ligero ajuste de los valores de brillo, contraste, iluminación y sombras para destacar la figura femenina.
