Florianny, A Feline Spirit
Good morning my people, welcome once again to my artistic blog, today I want to return to the dynamic or rather the theme of (Rare or Fantastic Creatures) that I like to create so much; that is why today I want to introduce Florianny, A Feline Spirit. This is a character in which I wanted to form a hybrid between human and animal, specifically with a feline (Tiger or Cat); I got down to work and that's how I got to the result of this character, is a cute young girl who still fails to fully assimilate even the reason for its wonderful and fascinating nature:
PROCESS
First of all, I had to be very clear about how I would be able to capture that hybrid mix of my character, so first of all I defined the human appearance as predominant in the character; once Florianny was taking shape is where I started to add the animal features in certain areas of her body. I erased a little bit the hair and painted the cat ears on the upper part, I also decided to add some long claws to her hands; and some very small but sharp fangs.
The choice of colors was very simple, normally I always take a long time choosing the tones, but in this case I already had more or less clear everything in my head, especially for the clothes; my intention was to paint a kind of tight dress or molded to Florianny's body in shades of marsh green and olive green with a slight neckline on the chest. For the skin it was better to use orange or reddish tones as these give a greater warmth to the female characters, in this part I worked a lot with the airbrush to get a softness and delicacy to the face; the eyes I decided to paint them following a little the range of colors of the dress, and I decided for very light shades of green.
Having already finished with the body I just moved on to paint the hair, I usually paint the long hair on my female characters and in this case I decided to continue doing it, but varying a little the use of the brushes; I painted the base of the hair with the watercolor brush and on that base I tried to make very open and wavy long strokes to create much more realistic locks of hair. With the hair ready I only had 2 areas to concentrate my attention, and one of them was the claws of my character, I tried to make them very long and with combined strokes to get a very specific texture for them; I also added some light and thin firm lines in the middle to highlight them and to give the appearance of sharpness in the claws.
To finish with my work I only dedicated myself to paint a good background that would be a good complement to my character Florianny, that's why I started to make strokes and finally I decided to paint a forest since I am good at illustrating these scenarios; I started a little with some thin tree trunks to establish depth. Then I just added some wood texture to the trees and also some green undergrowth or vegetation with the help of the airbrush, and with the (finger) brush I spread everything evenly and I liked the result.

This has been all for this drawing, I have to recognize that this is one of the characters that I liked the most of the ones I've done so far, and I think that soon there will be a couple more characters with this hybrid style, so wait for them here. A big greeting to all of you and I'll see you in the next drawing.
