The bells will ring
This religious building, having been erected and opened in 1820, stood abandoned and continued to collapse for many years. The service stopped in 1937 and since then the church has not been used in any way, and was gradually destroyed.
This process lasted for 84 years, but now, often drove by, I witness the restoration of this building, which was certainly not expected, because there is no village here anymore, from which several scattered houses remain. Any church needs a parish. It turns out that its historical and cultural value outweighs this significant argument. A church without a parish is a monument to those priests who served in it and brought benefits to people.
The altar part.
Any church building and even the foundations left after the destruction can serve as a compass for a lost traveler: the altar in them always looks to the East, and the other sides of the world can be determined by three entrances.
Exit to the West under the bell tower
Exit to the South.
There, all the time the churches were inactive, they continued to perform the burial of local residents.
This narrow stone staircase leads to the bell tower, where there are no bells and the masonry of the ceiling is broken from their fall. It's dangerous to go up there now
They began to clear the floor from the almost century-old accumulation of collapsed plaster from the walls. They are taken out through this opening.
A large doorway to the North. Once there were strong high doors here.
Recently, we saw that forests with platforms have already been erected inside, which means that a dome will be put up before winter. Recently, we saw that forests with platforms have already been erected inside, which means that a dome will be put up before winter. I hope that we will pass by on the road on this day and will not miss such an event.
It can be seen that a house for workers has already been installed, a generator and a lot of construction materials and tools have been delivered. So everything is serious and the bells here will soon ring over the empty lands and call people to repopulate them again.
Amazing post and lovely photos :) Cheers :)
Thank you!
Beautiful building, Hope ist will shine again 🙏
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Not being adept, I take good care of religious buildings. Yes, they served people for people.
Nowadays, many churches are being built in cities. Sometimes they are even combined with shopping centers. Sadly...
At the same time, in the vastness of Russia, there are many crumbling ancient monuments like this ..
I think it's time to collect the stones.
Great photography and storytelling
I think the post deserves attention @steemcurator02
