post processing #20 / Still life with tangerine
I am not a master of still lifes, if we keep in mind the generally accepted meaning when staging is done from some objects, proper lighting is organized and something else is needed. If I ever did something in this genre, it was always spontaneous, accidentally seen and with tasks only for the organization of the composition, but not for lighting. I have a lot of such photos, but for the contest I chose my favorite photo shoot with a tangerine, which for some reason was lying on a stainless steel pan. This combination of cold and heat attracted me then, and I began to spin with these objects, setting myself the task of making a still life in the style of minimalism with a bias towards abstraction.
Now I was working with the original frames, one of which was already published a long time ago, decorated with a black passepartout, and someone could see it, but it's not here, everything is being published for the first time.
I still have the same frying pan, but there is no tangerine to try it again. There is an orange, but for some reason I don't want to photograph it, as if I'm sure in advance that it won't work out better than with tangerine.
From the processing here, only the removal of dust particles from the surface of the pan, which were invisible when shooting. Everything was done with the "retouch" tool.
That's how I create my random still lifes. Although, only at first it was accidental, and then some staged work was added with the search for the best position of the mandarin, more interesting reflexes on board the frying pan, well, and other actions to find angles.

Мне этот понравился особо)
а я всё же к центральной композиции больше тяготею, а этот думала отзеркалить, чтобы положение мандарина, как основного объекта, находилось там где надо, если следовать правилам такой композиции. Хотела, но поленилась идти в фш.
В неправильности есть своё очарование)
А мне вот тёпленький да душистенький нравится ))
это понятно, он выглядит более крупным. Хорошо, что у меня большой выбор и на всех мандаринов хватит, хотя он и один ).
дело не в размере, хотя и нём тоже. Поверхность хорошо получилась и холожного металла не видно. Мандарины у меня скорее в деревянной доской совпадают по восприятию)
