Many people know Isaac's Square, so I'll start with it. If it was the square that was important to me, when I took a circular panorama of the city from the roof of the cathedral, then its photos would be a little different, but then I thought only about the long-term plans. However, Isaac's park and the square still fell into the frame. Although, in my opinion, it is not quite successful in terms of composition.

Due to the abundance of transport, the square is not visible in this case, so we will once again look at it from above, but in a monochrome version, which was made in this mode.

The second square, which I wanted to tell you about here, is located between the University Embankment and the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment and named in honor of D. A. Trezzini, architect, author of the first master plan for the construction of St. Petersburg. Until 1995, this square was unnamed.

It seems to me that this is the largest square, because of the peculiarities of the location. It is bounded only on one side by a line of houses along the University Embankment. Opposite it is the 8-lane roadbed of the Blagoveshchensk Bridge and there are no restrictions on the sides. In one direction, the University Embankment stretches more than a kilometer long to the Palace Bridge.

In the other-the embankment of Lieutenant Schmidt to the Mining University. And it is impossible to walk along it because of the peculiarities of the transport interchange — it is all under traffic flows. You can only walk along the narrow sidewalk along the houses, in the middle of which there is a monument to Domenico Trezzini., but I did not find the necessary photo in the archive.
