Photo of the week #98 | Rainbow on the Neva River
Can a rainbow be artificial? This is just an optical atmospheric phenomenon for the appearance of which a combination of three factors is needed: the presence of sunlight, the presence of small water droplets in the atmosphere and the correct location of the observer so that this phenomenon becomes visible to him. A rainbow is always natural, even if you get it by spraying water from an aerosol can.
Today I want to show a rainbow created by fountains located in the center of the Bolshaya Neva River, in the area of the Palace Embankment. I watched it from the other side of the river, not far from the Peter and Paul Fortress. The sun was behind me and so I managed to admire this phenomenon and take a picture of it.
Then I shot it with a zoom and the shots were not very sharp. This happens with a large approximation, but it doesn't matter, the main thing is that the rainbow turned out.
I tried to make a collage out of one photo by mirroring it. But this is no longer for the competition.
Thanks for the support!
The last one is amazing!! The symmetry is perfect, including the cloud...
Thanks for the feedback!
Wow, these are really nice.
Thank you!
Rainbows and fog are my favorite natural phenomena.
Sorry, I couldn't resist and allowed myself to complement your collage... :)
It seems to me that the elevator is now stopped :)
And I remembered Mexico, the mountain and the statue above it :)
