Photo contest: post processing #15/ low key with wild grapes, raspberries and linden seeds
The low key of photography is my love, unlike the high one. The high key is too capricious and besides that, like any night bird or beast, I prefer the dark. But I don't know how to achieve a low key state by processing. Attempts were made, but they were all unsuccessful and no one saw these photos. When I learned how to achieve this by manually setting the camera, I was almost always satisfied with the result.
I do everything "by eye", with which I look not at the display, but into the viewfinder. The display doesn't tell me anything at all and I use it only on cameras where there is no viewfinder. Only through the viewfinder can I establish a connection with the subject and this moment remains forever in the resulting photo. Looking at her afterwards, I again begin to feel what was happening between me and the subject at the time of shooting. This does not work with the display.
I took the top frame because I saw my initial and autograph in the curve of the vine and continued to admire this moment. And in the next photo, I was shocked by the shades of the most noble red, which, combined with noble green, could look flawless only when shooting in a low key. And all this, it seems to me, turned out the way I saw and felt it.
I am not a photographer, in this case I act at random and sometimes circumstances are so successful that I want to show these photos again and again. However, this cannot be done for the competition, and I choose those shots that have not yet been awarded the show. So there are fewer of them.
I admit that I still do the processing, but it consists in getting rid of all the bright spots that can be gaps, knots on branches or their broken ends. That's all, I remove every "ringing" little thing with the tools of a stamp or retouch. Everything to the very last point, because even a shining point spoils everything and distracts from the main thing.
The last picture was taken in the bright sun and I didn't do the installations on purpose. It turned out to be too contrasting and for this post I resorted to processing just for an example of what I don't know how to do: I turned down the light, Leveled the tonality as much as possible, but the linden achenes continue to "ring". I don't think this frame meets the stated conditions, but I decide to show it, because somehow I still like it.

Но на первой мне мешает яркая дыра, которая засасывает внимание... мой глаз говорит мне фи ))
Густые цвета хороши)
а я вот специально это выбрала из массы других, без дыр, чтобы убедиться в том, что форма этой дыры и её заполненнось, хоть и эклектичны, но не мешают признать этот кадр выполненным в низкой тональности при контровом свете, что осложняло задачу.
А раз затягивает тебя, значит он получился ещё и абстрактным. :)
ну как затягивает, я хочу вензеля рассматривать, полутона, а он отвлекает на себя. Я б его может и оставил для оживляжа, но притушил бы точно ))
попробуй притушить. Обычно, выборочное притушивание очень заметно и мне не нравится. Я могла бы его задекорировать листьями, но решила, что в том, как сейчас,что-то есть. Именно его форма и заполненность, контрастируя с изящным вензелем, навевают на мысли.
если по быстрому, то как-то так.
Это результат кисти коррекции в ЛР с понижением белых, бликов и коррекцией ББ
может быть и так, но я бы сделала что-то среднее.

мне тоже последний кадр нравится, что-то в нём есть.
там есть семянки липы, часть которых кто-то сложил в кучку, но это сделала не я :)
Despite not being a professional photographer, you manage to capture good scenes with your camera, I like your photos.
I am a professional artist and therefore have knowledge of composition, which is not much different in paintings and photography. Apparently, that's why I get something in photography. Thank you for your feedback.
