Around The World Landscape Photography - contest 10 steem prize pool - Week#4 - Fast River

Krasivaya Mecha river is fast, rapid. The river is mostly flowing in high rocky banks, which gives it a special beauty. My country house stands on the bank of this river, but I took these photos in another place where no one lives, the banks are more beautiful and there are rapids in the riverbed.

The water in the river is always cold,
because the river is fed by springs flowing from these limestone deposits.

At the beginning of the last century, a mill was built in this place, which served as a power plant, which provided both flour and electricity to a large area. The photo was taken from the window of the building of this mill, which preserved the walls and some of the equipment.

This is a view of the part of the river that is in the previous photo. But on the right, not the shore, but a small, tree-covered island that divides the riverbed into two parts. I, with my small height and weight, will not be able to swim here, because the current is very fast and strong. I'm being swept away by the water like a splinter. I swim only in the area of my house, where the river is quieter, but against the current I can only do this by wearing fins.
