Trying Soft pastels for the first time!

Yesterday I said I was going to try a new medium and I was not entirely serious about it or sure of how soon the testing would be, but it happened sooner than I'd anticipated. A friend of mine saw the penguin painting I did yesterday and asked me to sell it to her. I sent it to her and asked her to just pay for shipping. Anyway, this conversation led to me going to the art store to buy a file that turned out to be smaller than the painting so I hope the post office people pack it well in their usual style. And of course, since I had to buy something for myself, I decided to buy some soft pastels

Pastels are messy!! 😂 I knew this but still I kept on.
