Summer Flowers - Hosta
Hello!
I took these captures back in the summer. I experimented with the settings and functions of the Sony camera. Well, you know I love taking pictures of flowers. So, my subject that day were the wonderful flowers of hostas. I shot the flowers close-up.
Hosta is a perennial herbaceous plant. Hosta is directly related to the asparagus family, but not so long ago it was a member of the lily family. This plant was named after Nicolas Hosta, who was an Austrian doctor and botanist.
This genus includes about 40 different species of plants. In natural conditions the plant can be found in the southwest of the Far East, on the Kuril Islands, in East Asia.
In my area this plant is grown in gardens and parks. The plant is very popular in landscape design.
So, enjoy the beauty of the flower!
