I hope this little friend got well from the shock of its crash!! I think he's very young and inexperienced. Great that he found you to help in such difficult moments!! In that last photos, he seems pretty awake, though!

Yes it looked very young, it went to do it again and I had to rescue it about 3 but the second not anything like as bad. I hope it learnt its less, by the end it had perked up a lot and completely vanished from the scene. We can only do what we can do hey ?:)
