Hoy empecé el día algo tarde para lo que estoy acostumbrado. Me levanté de la cama, me cepillé los dientes escuchando algunas canciones de Logic para activarme, busqué mi comida y me senté en la computadora.

Desayuné viendo un video de Warren Huart en su canal Produce Like a Pro. Este video estuvo interesante, él contaba lo duro que ha sido para él y muchos otros ingenieros/productores llegar a donde están, lo que han tenido que hacer como aprendices, las veces que a pesar de haber trabajado no les daban nada de crédito por lo que habían hecho, el poco dinero al principio. Es curioso, a veces entre tantas complicaciones pensamos que somos los únicos a los que nos ocurre todo lo malo, pero parece ser parte del proceso, al menos de los que realizamos este trabajo. Recordé muchos momentos difíciles cuando trabajaba en otros estudios de grabación y las lecciones valiosas que aprendí.

I started the day a little later than I'm used to today. I got out of bed, brushed my teeth listening to some Logic songs to get me going, grabbed my food and sat down on the computer.

I had breakfast watching a video of Warren Huart on his Produce Like a Pro channel. This video was interesting, he told how hard it has been for him and many other engineers/producers to get where they are, what they have had to do as an apprentice, the times that despite working they didn't get any credit for what they had done, the little money at first. It's curious, sometimes among so many complications we think we are the only ones to whom everything bad happens, but it seems to be part of the process, at least of those of us who do this work. I remembered many difficult moments when I was working in other recording studios and the valuable lessons I learned.

Al terminar este video, seguí con las clases de mezcla que estuve viendo ayer sobre el tema Money de Cardi B. Hoy vi el resto de las clases hasta el final. Me quedé con varios datos interesantes sobre cómo tratar las frecuencias bajas en el 808 (bajo) y el bombo, algunos datos interesantes sobre las voces y, sobre todo, información importante sobre las correcciones en las mezclas que se realizan hoy en día. Ahora suele suceder que, a pesar de haber sido lanzadas las canciones en todas las plataformas de streaming, es posible hacer cambios y volverlas a subir, las plataformas sustituyen el tema ya lanzado por la nueva versión, en caso de haber descargado una canción desde Spotify, este se encargara de sustituir el archivo descargado del dispositivo por la nueva versión de la canción, lo importante es que la canción dure exactamente lo mismo. A partir de ahora, tomaré ciertas precauciones para tener esta posibilidad disponible para futuros clientes.

After finishing this video, I continued with the mixing lessons I was watching yesterday about the song Money by Cardi B. Today I watched the rest of the classes to the end. I learned some interesting facts about how to deal with the low frequencies on 808 (bass) and the kick drum, some interesting facts about the vocals and, above all, important information about the corrections in the mixes that are made today. Now it usually happens that, despite the fact that the songs have been released in all the streaming platforms, it is possible to make changes and upload them again, the platforms replace the already released song with the new version. In case you have downloaded a song from Spotify, it will replace the file downloaded from the device with the new version of the song, the important thing is that the song lasts exactly the same. From now on, I will take certain precautions to have this possibility available for future clients.

Luego de esto, hice ejercicio. Hoy fue día de brazos y pecho, los ejercicios ya no me costaban tanto como en otras oportunidades así que aumente un poco la intensidad, esto significa que voy subiendo de nivel y eso me alegra.

Al terminar los ejercicios, me bañe, comí y me puse a investigar sobre ciertas herramientas para poder empezar a mezclar unas canciones que tengo pendientes para mañana. Seguiré investigando un rato más luego de terminar este diario y me iré a dormir.

After this, I worked out. Today was arms and chest day, the exercises didn't cost me as much as in other opportunities so I increased the intensity a little bit, this means that I'm increasing my level and that makes me happy.

When I finished the exercises, I took a bath, ate and started researching about certain tools so I could start mixing some songs that I have pending for tomorrow. I'll keep on researching for a while more after finishing this diary and go to sleep.
