WOX Travel Contest | Week 21/ A peace of paradise - Paros, Greece

Paros Combines mountain and sea and is something that always makes me feel in heaven. Picturesque coastal views, crystal clear water with turquoise color, picturesque villages, magical sunsets and for people who are interested in history, the island also has historical landmarks.

Small fishing ports, white houses, sandy beaches, delicious food, a lot of bars and good nightlife, all this is located in the center of the Cyclades. Paros can be reached by ferry or plane, but if you are coming by plane, you will fly through Athens, because flights only go through the capital of Greece.

Something I want to pay attention to and it is important to know is that the accommodation options are very different whether you choose camping, guest houses, cheap or luxury hotels, the island is accessible to all of us, no matter how much money we have in our pocket 😊

Various activities can be combined on Paros, the most popular being surfing and diving. For diving fans, you will find diving centers literally everywhere along the coast. And it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an active diver, the underwater life of the Aegean Sea will surely show its beauty. And if you are a single who knows, you might meet a sultry mermaid or a surfer with a nice summer tan 🤫

The food, as you can imagine, is soooo delicious. Restaurants along the coast attract attention with fresh fish and prepared seafood delicacies. The island is also famous for its jams, so if you like to eat sweets, do not miss to try the one with pieces of apricots or orange peel.

The beaches are fantastic and there is something for everyone, from wild places to lively ones that offer sunbeds and umbrellas. Long stretches of sand or small beaches with fine sand or pebbles, the choice is yours. Kolymbithres Beach is one of the best spots and It's good to arrive at the beach early to grab the spots between the rocks! It feels like you're on your own beach without annoying people, which is a huge bonus for me. Also, if you don't have a car, you can get to the beach by public transport. However, I strongly recommend that if you don't have your own, you should rent one. It is more convenient and faster, and if you are a large company, it will be cheaper and it is the best way to explore the island. Enjoy
