Montanejos - Natural Hidden Gem 💎
When you touch down in Valencia, mark a day on your calendar for a journey to Montanejos Hot Springs. Believe me, it's an adventure you'll regret skipping.
The Romans were onto something with these thermal waters. They set up bathhouses and villas here ages ago, and these hot springs, known as Fuente de los Baños, have been famous for their healing vibes since way back.
The water's packed with good stuff like magnesium, calcium, and iron, which supposedly do wonders for your skin and insides. The sign by the baths even claims it's great for skin conditions and keeping your digestion and kidneys in check.
Just a heads up, these "hot springs" are more like tepid springs. The water stays a comfy 25°C year-round. Perfect for a leisurely soak, but don't expect steamy jacuzzi vibes!
If you're hitting the springs during peak times, snag online tickets for 3 € each. At the window, it's a tad pricier – 3.50 € for adults, 2.50 € for kids aged 4-10 and seniors. Little ones under four get in free.
It's the ideal spot for capturing underwater shots or even indulging in some snorkeling.
And when hunger strikes, you'll find a charming snack stand by the bathrooms serving up coffee, goodies, and ice cream to keep you fueled up.
Let's leave this slice of nature just as beautiful for the next adventurers. 💗
What a gorgeous place to visit!!! We have a few hot springs around these parts too - though I have not been to any of them in many years now and some, never.
That one photo you took which looks like it is from the inside of a cave of sorts... I love that! The gap in the rock looks almost heart shaped! Beautiful!
