Steemit Engagement Challenge WOX Community S6W3: Drawing Trees
Hello steemians, today I present to you my attempt to draw a tree in pencil, as part of the competition offered by the WORLD OF XPILAR community for the s6-w3 engagement challenge, that I thank him for this beautiful drawing theme, so focusing first on the overall shape, then on the finer details.
Let' go...
Step 1: Draw the trunk:
Do not forget that the trunk is the base and the seat of the tree, it is its largest branch. Its shape will therefore be rather straight and slightly thicker at the base.

We are now going to draw the bigger branches, without ending them at the top because there are often small branches at the end.
Here again, let's observe nature: the trunk separates into several branches.
The branches connected to the trunk are therefore the largest.

At least 3 or 4 branches make up the main structure of the tree.
Then draw the medium branches and then the finest ramifications.

You now know how to draw a tree in winter 😉
Step2: Draw foliage
We are now going to flesh it out by adding the foliage.
The method is different, because the leaves are located on the thinnest branches. We will start by drawing the leaves at the end of the branches.
The whole thing is to give the impression of foliage.

The branches are more or less provided, do not fill the whole tree at once, go gradually. You can let some branches show through the foliage.
We are now going to work the trunk, to bring out the rough side of the wood.
I draw lines from the base of the trunk up to the branches. Again, don't be too regular, make very thin overlapping lines to mark the lines of the bark.

Step 3: Draw the shadows on the trunk and the leaves
Finally, we will contrast and give volume to our tree. Decide on the direction of the light and place the shadows opposite. I take this opportunity to bring out the texture by darkening between the bark plates.

That is very interesting, and full of potential.
Your tree trunk is beautifully drawn, in an abstract structure, like nature is.
I would prefer it with brightness values (dark and light areas) instead of outlines (contour).
As for the leaves, they are cute, but I would make some of them overlap each other. Meaning, one leaf covers part of another.
I like it. For a strange reason I love the land. As I was saying, lots of potential. Good work.

Aunque te abstraes del color y de los claroscuros y te limitas a mostrarnos tu árbol a través de las líneas que delimitan su contorno y algunas hojas al final de las ramas, la estructura de tu árbol es perfecta. Buen trabajo.

Podría decir que su árbol es joven, podría imaginar que es un árbol de cerezo joven con ramas delgadas pero con un tallo firme y escasas hojas porque está en la temporada del otoño.
Solitario en lo alto de una montaña. Eso es lo que me inspira su árbol.
