I usually enjoy the photos published within the competitions organized by the World Of Xpilar community because of the creativity and craftsmanship in taking pictures by the participants, and today it is my turn to participate in the competition that is part of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 6 in its second week, which is organized by this artistic community, which mainly centers around In the context of architectural photography, I will present some pictures of the oldest Jewish synagogue located in my country, Tunisia, called the Temple of the Gharbia.
The "Ghriba" synagogue, historically the oldest in Africa, is a symbol of the Tunisian island of Djerba in the state of Medenine, in the south of the country.
This synagogue has an architectural character taken from the distinguished Andalusian heritage, especially in the level of adopting simplicity in the outer space. As for the interior space, there are arches decorated with some decorations, while some Torah verses were written on the walls in Hebrew.
All photos are my property, taken with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, photos taken on 11/2/2022.
