Looking around for a camera.

Last month I had some spare time to drop by a small camera shop. I was looking for a simple camera with acceptable performance at a reasonable price. I already have two old pocket cameras but these were not as convenient as iPhone6 which I have been using for my photography these days. But it couldn’t take nice macro photos and it has no telephoto lens.

For the price range that I was looking at, the staff in the shop recommended a choice between a Canon and an Olympus camera. She said the lens on the Olympus was much sharper and more stable. I did not ask to see these cameras as I was not quite convinced if they would answer my needs. So, I just try to get a feel of these new genre of cameras.

I think I am quite reluctant to buy a new camera which I could not afford at the moment. But in the long run, I would love to have a camera with a very nice lens. I could still remember my first Canon camera which allowed me to take so many wonderful photos of sunset in Wales. However, my iPhone6 camera has been very nice to me, though it does not like low quality light that much.

I never had an Olympus camera before, I only had an old manual Canon, a small IXus camera and an old pocket size Leica which was broken years ago. Some of my friends took very nice photos with their new mobile phones. So, it is very difficult to decide which is a better option or investment in my case. So, I hope that my iPhone 6 will continue to work for me until I could afford an upgrade!
