May Bonfire / #club100
This is my post for WoX photo contest with the week topic: 'Fire'.

For today’s post I selected two photographs of bonfire I had recently, just two weeks ago. The first bonfire of the season! (Tho I did not make my walk to forest... not yet). The theme almost tempted me "to be creative" and show something interesting, indirect, figurative, unexpected - like a woman with fiery red hair... or neon swirls of flame painted on a motorcycle. I lived with this idea for several days, checking my folders a few times, killing time... after that I gave up and just edited these two pics - cause I like how these photos turned out. I love bonfires. It is something ancient in our genes. One may sit all evening staring into the fire...
...feeding it from time to time with thin branches or thick logs, doing nothing. To me, this is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend time.
When the fire is gone, ashes are left, and this is a cool stuff to take pics too, especially with macro lens, but here I used not macro, just a common 50mm lens. If you like my photos, do vote for my entry (by the link above).
Oh, and let me dilute this deep philosophical thoughts with a piece of barbecue sizzling on the coals. Bon appetit!
