Greetings to everyone reading this post. It is a great pleasure to write about this contest today which is under the theme of free stories. The topic of this story of mine today is titled the market.

A few days ago I found myself in the market and I discover everyone was very busy taking care of his or her market. No one cares about the other or what exactly is happening to the other partner. So I stood by the side to watch as people buy and sell different items. To my greatest surprise, I notice that everyone just wants customers to come to their places for purchase. Once you don't need their goods, they won't want to associate with you.

Some thing happen as I was standing and watching. A young man who claim to have been hungry for some days went around the market and begging for everything that is been sold in the market. Some persons assist him whereas others send him away and claim that he is a bad lick and should not be seen in their shops. I watched the man closely and I discover that the majority of the market people didn't show any atom of compassion to him.

After collecting maize from a lot of people, he guided it into the sack bag and put it on the ground. Many persons were just passing by and never knew the owner of the maize. He ensures he guarded a lot of it and then he finally called all those who have assisted him to come and see what he has guided so far. Unknown to them the man in question is very wealthy and was only playing a prank on them to see who he will call his neighbour since today he said is the good Samaritan Sunday.

Everyone was surprised when the man in question disclose his real identity and then invited those who have given him the maize to come to his house and have a bouquet with him. Others began saying if I had known I could have given him a little of the maize as well. But before he left the market he made a comment that got a lot of people worried. He said and I quote " for those who didn't give me anything, you are also free to come to the party in my house".

Conclusion

On this day, the Samaritan was the person who assisted the wounded person when he was on his way to the far journey. The lesson of this story today is for us to be able to help anyone we see because you may never know who you are doing a favour. That person may be your saviour for a lifetime. I invite @josepha and @jasminemary to join the contest.

Greetings friend @josantos

Interesting story about a rich man who posed as a homeless man among the market to beg for corn and learn about the kindness of the place during the Good Samaritan's Day.

Thank you for your entry to the contest.
