Sketching a man's head in profile, III - Shades and lights
Hi friends!
In this video I show you how I repeat the blending process done previously, paying attention this time to darkening only certain areas. By blending these areas once again with a paper towel to achieve a soft gradient towards the lighter ones. We can obtain even lighter areas by first tapping gently with a kneadable eraser to remove excess charcoal, and then using a clean eraser until the desired white is achieved.

Blending is indeed an important part of portrait. By the way wanted to ask you the areas that are darker do you use the same strength of pencil in this video?
