David Alfaro Siqueiros, inspired by the art of the Italian Renaissance, especially that of Miguel Ángel Buonarrotti, created magnificent murals of immense expressive power, for which he used the hands as the object of his creations (just like Guayasamín, whom I told you about in my previous post).

Hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes este otro gran pintor, un muralista mexicano que dedicó su talento a desarrollar un estilo expresionista latinoamericano.
David Alfaro Siqueiros, inspirado en el arte del Renacimiento italiano, especialmente en el de Miguel Ángel Buonarrotti, creó magníficos murales de inmensa fuerza expresiva, para los que utilizó las manos como objeto de sus creaciones (al igual que Guayasamín, de quien les hablé en mi publicación anterior).
Si te gusta el arte, el dibujo o la pintura, espero que mires de cerca su trabajo, lo disfrutes, aprendas de él y espero que te sirva de inspiración para tus creaciones.

His hand is of great expressive force, achieved by a very pronounced foreshortening of the arm and by the dynamism that the paint stains on the nails give it, giving the idea of movement and power while indicating his profession as a painter.

In this small image, a study of hands was carried out by Siqueiros with a lead pencil on paper.
This is the beginning of all the work of an artist, the drawing, to understand the model through the study. This then allows you to stylize it, exaggerate it, and deform it while respecting its essence. Note that in his paintings the proportions and elements that make up the hand, the knuckles, the folds of the hands, the nails, etc. are respected. Everything is in its place, Siqueiros knew the structure of the hands very well.
En esta pequeña imagen, Siqueiros realizó un estudio de manos con lápiz de mina sobre papel.
Este es el comienzo de todo el trabajo de un artista, el dibujo, para entender el modelo a través del estudio. Esto entonces te permite estilizarlo, exagerarlo y deformarlo respetando su esencia. Nótese que en sus pinturas se respetan las proporciones y elementos que componen la mano, los nudillos, los pliegues de las manos, las uñas, etc. Todo está en su sitio, Siqueiros conocía muy bien la estructura de las manos.
