Face Study in Oil Painting
Hi, friends!
this is a study I've made for a female character. My goal is to paint a pretty woman's face and a kind of bishop's miter decorated with some pre-Columbian design. I don't use any model for this.
Detail...
Pencil drawing on paper.
Drawing on canvas. Here, I used brown ink to fix the drawing to the canvas before painting.
The first layer of oil paint, Burnt Umber very thinned with turpentine.
Applying a second layer of oil paint...
Detail of the "bishop's miter"
The face study with oil paint is done. There are very thing to make better...
I have pointed out on the painting some of the parts that need to be improved.
Hope you like it.
Regards
That is beautiful painting. I think you have combine the natural beauty of woman and the traditional dress. Like your Oil painting style :)
