Drawing the hand - first steps / Dibujando la mano - primeros pasos (#club100)
Hi friends!
To better understand the main features of the human head, we have carried out the same study for the human skull.
We also made a more detailed study of the main features of the human head by drawing in detail the eyes, ears, nose and lips.
With all those basic studies of the human head and many exercises, we should be ready to draw it with or without a model of reference.
However, if we intend to draw realistic portraits that delve into the expression and psychology of a character, fictional or real, the hands are a very important element to keep in mind.
The hands are usually a very difficult and frustrating element if you do not have a certain method to draw them.
I'll try to show some techniques that may be useful to you.
Hace unos cinco meses comenzamos el estudio del rostro humano, sus principales rasgos y proporciones en vista frontal, de perfil y también en vista 3/4.
Para comprender mejor las principales características de la cabeza humana, hemos realizado el mismo estudio para el cráneo humano.
También hicimos un estudio más detallado de las principales características de la cabeza humana dibujando en detalle los ojos, las orejas, la nariz y los labios.
Con todos esos estudios básicos de la cabeza humana y muchos ejercicios, deberíamos estar listos para dibujarla con o sin un modelo de referencia.
Sin embargo, si pretendemos dibujar retratos realistas que ahonden en la expresión y psicología de un personaje, ficticio o real, las manos son un elemento muy importante a tener en cuenta.
Las manos suelen ser un elemento muy difícil y frustrante si no tienes un método determinado para dibujarlas.
Voy a tratar de mostrar algunas técnicas que pueden ser útiles para ti.
If you have studied perspective you will already be familiar with this representation of a parallelepiped. This parallelepiped will represent the palm of the hand.
Si has estudiado perspectiva ya estarás familiarizado con esta representación de un paralelepípedo. Este paralelepípedo representará la palma de la mano.
Then, we will divide this figure into four equal parts at the top edge, as shown in the image below. This allows us to draw another cuboid as shown.
Luego dividiremos esta figura en cuatro partes iguales en el borde superior, como se muestra en la imagen de abajo. Esto nos permite dibujar otro cuboide como se muestra.
By drawing three cuboids for each of the four divisions we will obtain the fingers.
Al dibujar tres paralelepípedos para cada una de las cuatro divisiones obtendremos los dedos.
By drawing a triangle shape on the right side in this case, we can get the thumb by adding the corresponding cuboids as shown.
To complete the figure we can draw another parallelepiped on the back that represents the wrist.
Al dibujar una forma de triángulo en el lado derecho en este caso, podemos obtener el pulgar agregando los cuboides correspondientes como se muestra.
Para completar la figura podemos dibujar otro paralelepípedo en la parte trasera que representa la muñeca.
Well, this was a very simple sample of how we can draw a hand. To get a good result we must first know its parts and their proportions.
The next stage to represent a hand in the space is to know how to draw it in perspective. I have already dedicated several posts to the study of perspective, posts you can read and make the proposed exercises if this is an unknown subject for you.
In the next posts, I'll try to show you in detail all of these aspects, be tuned if you find this matter interesting.
Bueno, esta fue una muestra muy simple de cómo podemos dibujar una mano. Para obtener un buen resultado primero debemos conocer sus partes y sus proporciones.
El siguiente paso para representar una mano en el espacio es saber dibujarla en perspectiva. Ya he dedicado varios posts al estudio de la perspectiva, posts que puedes leer y hacer los ejercicios propuestos si este es un tema desconocido para ti.
