Personally, I'd like to see all the funds in the DAO be used to buy STEEM on the open market and burn it, and then have the DAO discontinued...
I'd also like to see an internal market developed for TRX/STEEM similar to the one we have with STEEM/SBD, that would help with the issues of having STEEM wallets down on Exchanges from time to time as it would open STEEM investors to every Exchange TRX is listed on. It may also encourage more users to come to Steemit and possibly more Steemit users to Tron, seems like a win win to me.
As far as a game... those are hit or miss and haven't done much to bring in users currently to the broader community. Some sort of metaverse game where users can play while using the steem currency would be cool though. And as far as funding, upvotes from the the steemitinc accounts should be a good source of funding. That's more or less what the reward pool is for...
Maybe it shouldn't be discontinued but turned into a fixed burning of steem, for example once per week. I don't think many users know that 10% of their rewards go to the DAO
Burning 10% of what is given from the rewards every week will have a big impact on the value of steem
