Contest || One Image, One Story

This is the story of a young man and woman by name Richard and Sarah...

Life sometimes could be exciting and also cruel. Richard who just lost his mom went into drinking, his whole life was in the bottle. He felt lonely and deserted, and he saw no way out of the situation he was. Losing a mother could be very devastating, so was the case for Richard, he attempted letting everything go. Could this be how everyone feels when they lose a loved one?
This question hovered in his mind, how can I escape this feeling? He still contemplated.

But while he was looking at his phone and thinking about life, a voice said hi Handsome, he thought the voice was in his head, but no it wasn't. When he removed his face from his phone to the direction of the voice, lo, he saw this beautiful lady who was now sitting in the empty chair close to him. Hi, my name is Sarah, said the beautiful lady, with her face beaming with smiles. He tried to put himself together...My name is Ric...Richard he stuttered. They got to chat and what was a gloomy evening turned to be an exciting one. They didn't get to exchange contacts, maybe because he was a little bit tipsy and he forgot.

At home, Richard was still basked in the aura of the wonderful evening he had. He couldn't stop thinking of the beautiful lady he met. The next day, he went back to the bar, but not to bask in alcohol this time, he so much wanted to see her again. He waited long in the room, looking, at the door if she would come, he asked the bar attendant, about the lady.. and he was informed that the lady is a regular customer in the bar.

As he was yet asking about her, she came in to the bar and he felt lighted up. They exchanged pleasantries, and soon the evening was wonderful again. They continued speaking with each other regularly and soon they fell in love and soon they thought about marrying. They had one of the best love story. Life was now great for Richard, he forgot about the pains he went through. With Sarah, Richard found purpose and love.

After a year, an unexpected event brought enmity between them. They had a quarrel and they decided to separate for their best interest.

On an occasion, Richard had to go to the bar for a drink. He saw Sarah but they couldn't speak with each other again. They sat opposite to each other but they were all on their phones not minding that they were once lovers.

Life could be very cruel.... Once we were strangers, then lovers, and now we are now strangers again. Life is fast, sometimes lovely and great but also cruel.
