Acostumbrados desde la escuela a creer los cuentos acerca de nuestros orígenes, convivimos desde muy pequeños con la Leyenda de EL Valle de Monaiby. Su historia es un ejemplo que ilustra el destino de un lugar descubierto por primera vez en un punto de la ruta de El Extravío. La ruta que los exploradores siguen a un rumbo deslumbrante que los ciega y la selva los hace parecer entrar en un laberinto sin salida como si la naturaleza no quisiera que llegarán a su destino y conociera sus oscuras intenciones, los exploradores proseguían, quizás con el sueño de encontrar la ruta de un gran éxodo.

A través de selvas inhóspitas, infectada de serpientes y toda clase de insectos ponzoñonsos, ríos gigantescos que bramaban como monstruos siderales, los cantos de un centenar de aves que vienen del otro lado de la noche llenan los cielos de colores. Entre senderos que recorren la realidad y la fantasía, hacia las doradas colinas de EL Valle de Monaiby, un lugar codiciado y descrito, fantástica y delirantemente, por los habitantes del pueblo. Lleno de una diversidad de aves nunca vista en ningún otro lugar del planeta. Se podían ver desde los más comunes como , Búhos, guacamayas y gaviotas, hasta extrañas criaturas con alas que fuesen sacadas de otro planeta y de alguna manera colocadas allí. Parece un milagros que allí existan aves que se creían extintas. Habían aves con alas muy grandes con garras poderosas como Aguilas y Halcones y otros pequeños como el carpintero y el Perico. Todos ellos reunidos en tal majestuosidad de creación de la naturaleza.

Y Allí estaba yo en un campamento escuchando la misma historia pero ahora 30 años después y no la contaba mi maestra si no nuestro guía de expedición.
"Una cosa Es el Valle de Monaibe para quien arriba a su destino con el fin de ganar riquezas materiales de la tierra como sea y otra para quien la defiende con el mismo amor de un lugar que los inspira."

Esta es una historia de mi imaginación que quise compartir con ustedes.

Accustomed from school to believing the stories about our origins, we lived with the Legend of EL Valle de Monaiby from a very young age. His story is an example that illustrates the fate of a place discovered for the first time at a point on the El Extravío route. The route that the scouts follow to a dazzling course that blinds them and the jungle makes them seem to enter a labyrinth with no exit as if nature did not want them to reach their destination and knew their dark intentions, the explorers continued, perhaps with the dream to find the route of a great exodus.

Through inhospitable jungles, infected with snakes and all kinds of poisonous insects, gigantic rivers that roared like sidereal monsters, the songs of a hundred birds that come from the other side of the night fill the skies with colors. Between paths that run through reality and fantasy, towards the golden hills of the Monaiby Valley, a place coveted and described, fantastic and delirious, by the inhabitants of the town. Filled with a diversity of birds never seen anywhere else on the planet. They could be seen from the most common such as owls, macaws and seagulls, to strange creatures with wings that were taken from another planet and somehow placed there. It seems a miracle that there are birds that were believed to be extinct. There were birds with very large wings with powerful claws like Eagles and Falcons and other small ones like the Woodpecker and the Parakeet. All of them gathered in such majesty of creation of nature.

And there I was in a camp listening to the same story but now 30 years later and it was not told by my teacher but by our expedition guide.
The Monaibe Valley is one thing for those who arrive at their destination in order to gain material riches from the earth in any way, and another for those who defend it with the same love of a place that inspires them.

This is a story from my imagination that I wanted to share with you.
