Macro photography or close-up photography is the joy of spending your time to the very small subjects like plants, ants, flowers, or insects.
Marco photography is not always that difficult. If you enjoy capturing close-up photography, you can try some easy techniques below.

  • Because of capturing a very small subjects, so you can easily find them everywhere like in your gardens, in the parks or in your houses. The most important note is the subjects need to be stand still, of course you can't take a good picture of a shaking leaf.

  • Don't worry if you don't have a professional 1:1 magnification macro len. You can find an extension tube to connect to your lens. However, most of the lens allow a nearest distance which will be able to capture the subject. That 's one of the options you can try if you just start macro photography.

  • If you don't have a flash, let find the place to capture the subject with enough light. Find a torch that could be helped.

  • Focus on your subject and don't let your hand shaken when you capture the subjects.

  • When you take a close up photography, you need to get enough the depth of field. Because of the thin depth of field, so you have to open up your aperture to gain more light. You need to set up a very fast shutter speed as well.

Hi @jessienguy itis nice to see your posts in our community, the photos are well done. Do you do them professionally and if you have website with your photography it would be great if you can add them. It is an advertisement for yourself too :)

Hi @stef1,
Thanks for your recommendation. Right now, I do that for my leisure time. I've never thought that I would have advertised my photographs. I will think about it :))
