This photograph was taken in the Plaza del Millennium, located in Caracas - Venezuela. It is a very simple square, at the beginning it was a center of Hip-Hop culture, having a lot of participation of Rappers and Skaters circulating from one side to another. Over the years this cultural impact was seen in high places, for this reason, a small skate park was built just to the side of this square. It allows all those who did their sport in the plaza to be relocated to this park. Thus obtaining a diversity and new access for citizens, therefore, citizens can enjoy the square without feeling uncomfortable about the practice of this sport and fans and followers of Hip-Hop culture can be in a more pleasant and adapted space. I usually visit this square when I feel overwhelmed or stressed. It allows me to think better and relax a lot by feeling free of commitment and being able to listen to the water source that is there, the birds with their whistles and the cars behind sounding as they travel.
Esta fotografía fue tomada en la Plaza del Millennium, ubicada en Caracas - Venezuela. Es una plaza muy simple, al principió fue un centro de la cultura Hip-Hop, teniendo en ella mucha participación de Raperos y Skaters circulando de un lado a otro. Al pasar los años este impacto cultural fue visto en altos mandos, por ello se construyo justo a un costado de esta plaza un pequeño parque de patinaje. Permite a todos los que realizaban su deporte en la plaza, ser re-ubicados en este parque. Obteniendo así una diversidad y nuevos accesos de ciudadanos, por lo cual los ciudadanos pueden gozar de la plaza sin sentirse incomodos por la práctica de este deporte y los fanáticos y seguidores de la cultura Hip-Hop pueden estar en un espacio más agradable y adaptado a ellos. Por lo general suelo visitar esta plaza cuando me siento abrumado o con estrés. Me permite pensar mejor y relajarme mucho al sentirme libre de compromiso y poder escuchar la fuente de agua que allí se encuentra, los pájaros con sus silbidos y los carros atrás sonando mientras transitan.
Without a doubt, for me it is a place to heal.
