Amigurumi Miss Spider (James and the Giant Peach)
¡Saludos! en esta ocasión les comparto un amigurumi de Miss Spider, la araña de la película Jim y el durazno gigante (James and the Giant Peach).

Greetings! This time I share an amigurumi from Miss Spider, the spider from the movie James and the Giant Peach
Esta película estadounidense estrenada en 1996, tiene la particularidad de ser grabada con la técnica de stop motion incluyendo también escenas con personas reales y animación, producida por Tim Burton y dirigida por Henry Selick.
This American film released in 1996, has the particularity of being recorded with the stop motion technique including also scenes with real people and animation, produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick.

Asimismo, dicho film fue muy popular y seguramente está en la memoria de muchos. Mi personaje favorito siempre fue la araña francesa, que a pesar de lucir aterradora para muchos, es un personaje amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar al protagonista.
Also, this film was very popular and surely is in the memory of many. My favorite character was always the French spider, which despite looking terrifying to many, is a friendly character and always ready to help the protagonist.
Proceso/Process
Por otro lado, para este amigurumi realicé una estructura de alambre para hacer que sus extremidades se puedan articular, este proceso fue un poco difícil debido a la cantidad de patas. Asimismo, utilicé ganchillo Nº 4, hilo para crochet negro, blanco y verde, relleno de fibra sintética antialérgica y los detalles del rostro los bordé con hilo y aguja de coser. En total mide 11,5 cm de alto por 16 cm de ancho.
For this amigurumi I made a wire estructure to make its limbs articulate, this process was a bit difficult due to the number of legs. I also used crochet No. 4, black, white and green crochet thread, filled with synthetic fiber and embroidered the details of the face with thread and a sewing needle. Altogether it measures 11.5 cm high by 16 cm wide.
Las arañas son una especie que me identifica porque gran parte de su vida se basa en tejer, ellas producen su propio hilo, además que el acto de tejer les facilita la obtención de alimento al capturar sus presas, protección para sus huevos y además las telarañas son una de las creaciones más perfectas y simétricas que se pueden observar en la naturaleza.
Spiders are a species that identifies me because a large part of their life is based on weaving, they produce their own thread, and the act of weaving makes it easier for them to obtain food by capturing their prey, protection for their eggs. Also cobwebs are one of the most perfect and symmetrical creations that can be seen in nature.
Existen muchas especies, algunas venenosas y otras completamente inofensivas para el humano, por lo tanto es injustificable matarlas bajo un miedo infundado, hay que tener en cuenta que cumplen una función importante en el control de insectos, llama a la reflexión pensar que hasta un ser de aspecto considerado aterrador pueda crear algo completamente hermoso, pasar su vida trabajando y proteger a sus descendientes de tal manera.
There are many species, some poisonous and others completely harmless to humans, therefore it is unjustifiable to kill them under unfounded fear, it must be borne in mind that they play an important role in insect control, it calls reflection to think that even scary looking they can create something completely beautiful, spend theirs life working and protect theirs descendants in such a way.
