Waked up today with surprisingly good weather. Better than forecasted so we decided to take a little trip on ski on a mountain nearby called Lille Haugfjell. In English it means something like little mound mountain. The area is quite bumpy with small valleys and ups and downs.
Yesterday we had snow again. In the lowland it melted during the day, but up in the mountain the snowfall maked perfect conditions for skiing with 10 cm powder on top of hard snow. Great! You probably have to live in the north to have powder snow in May. Further you have to like long winters, cold summers and a lot of shitweather to enjoy the possibility. I like it 😁.
We start skiing at around 400 meters and up to the peak 669 meters further up.
Upphils in sun and no wind, a quite seldom experience in this area.

Sun and nice temperature, Nero enjoy chewing a bit of ice in the "heat".
We skied across, and took a roundtrip on the plateau. Here you can see there are lots of mounds of bumps in the mountain

Skiing downhill from the mountain was pure joy with powder snow. In case I would take a crash landing, I had the camera in my backpack. Luckily both I and the camera survived, but no pictures from this part of the hike.

Yesterday it was cold here too about 5 in the night and 8C during the day, after such nice warm days it was freezing cold. That is understandable it would be snowing in your place. I think you for last joy of snow, hopefully :)
I belive. 5 degree in the winter feels warm, now it is cold. Hopefully better temperatures soon, it is very late spring this year, I had to change back to winter tires on the car today, the weather forecast predict 20 cm snow the coming days🌨
Wow, that sounds horrible, we also changed tired to summer, I think in your place it is safe and reliable to have winter tires. How is the situation with Corona at your place. Our hospital is getting better and we starting to re-open Endoscopy and Ortho dep-t, some elective but still minimal. We hope slowly increase normal activities soon :)
Hopefully I can change back later this week. Better weather ahead 😊. The corona situation is better, schools opens this week and hospitals going back to more elective treatment, but keep the readiness in case more infections. Norway started luckily early closedown, so far "only" 224 people is dead because of corona.
