Revvannet, (The Fox lake)

We had a day off from work today and spent the day out skiing. The goal was a lake called Revvannet, or something like Fox lake in english. Last year we also was skiing at the same place. Today when we passed the boathouse you can see on the picture I remembered last year we took this trip.
Today there was around 50 cm snow around the boathouse.
This picture was taken almost a year ago, 05. April 2020. Only the roof was visible and the snow depth was around 180 cm. It was a quite different winter with lots of snow. This year there have been periods with rain and weeks with cold without snowfall.
The last weeks the temperatures have been low. The days got longer and the sun is high enough on the sky to start melting some snow. A very early and hopeful sign of spring.
A birch "enjoy" the light and from the sun. Warmer times ahead.
A great day out, I even got a little tan on my winter skin, (when looked carefully and optimistic) 😊
