Horrifying Teddy Bear | Exclusive Digital Art for NFT Showroom

A death trap, hidden in the shadows, a cute teddy bear stalks its victims, the children run to meet it without knowing that their lives will soon end subject to tentacles and chewed by sharp fangs. Never leave your children alone, and run fast if you hear them say they have found a cute teddy bear calling out to them.

Since I illustrated that teddy bear for the Inktober theme "teeth", I was eager to digitize it and make it more scary and colorful and I liked the result very much. Also it is an exclusive artwork for @nftshowroom so you can find it from now on in the platform and acquire it for your collection.

-Step 1:

Take the picture of the Inktober drawing and bring it to Photoshop, use the "layers" tool to completely adjust the image to absolute black and white. Why? Because if I set the layer in the "multiply" fusion mode you can use the drawing by hand as a real lineart, this is the easiest way to digitize your ink drawings and then paint them easily.

-Step 2:

With the use of blue values give shape and a little volume to the inside of the character, also, modify the size and position of the tentacles to make the beast more exaggerated and monstrous.

-Step 3:

Then with the "overlay" and "multiply" fusion modes I added the reddish tone of the interior of the mouth and then start detailing using a brush called "alien skin". On the other hand, I thought it was great to add more eyes to the creature, even inside its mouth, I could clearly imagine them opening in absolute darkness and making a multiple killer look.

-Step 4:

All the little details were done with the basic Photoshop brush, yes, that round brush that comes by default and that everybody hates, well, I have been trying to learn new things and one of them is to work with basic tools, opening the doors to work in any software without too many problems.

Finally, to reinforce the aura of terror, I darkened the scene using the "multiply" fusion mode in conjunction with the airbrush in low opacity and flow, also, I painted a floor of something subtly similar to blood and used the "dodge color" fusion mode to add the fine lines of drool in the dark mouth of the beast.
