The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #061 Fontana Di Trevi
"Fontana di Trevi" is the most popular fountain in Rome,Italy and it's been located in the Trevi district in Rome
It has been designed by the Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini and others as well.
The Palazzo Poli appears in the background of the fountain and in the center a triumphal arch takes place, while the Tritons and the horses give an overall symmetrical balance.
Throwing coins using the right hand over the left shoulder is considered as an act of good luck
Approximately 3000 euros are thrown into the fountain every day
The coins are ussually gathered and used in order to clean and repair the Trevi while the rest are given for charity and donations
Very beautiful participation in black and white @grecoloco
