Rhodes Castle Entrance

I took this photo during a previous trip
to the island of Rhodes

is the entrance from the old town of Rhodes
towards the ancient castle

The castle was built by the Knights of Saint John,
back in 14th century

and was functioned as a palace, headquarters, and fortress.
