After yesterday´s drawing of Jinbe, I kind of got the love again for drawing manga characters and specifically the art of Boichi, this is another replica of a drawing of ace he did for the novel he is adapting to a monthly manga about Ace´s early life,brother of Monkey D. Luffy from the manga and anime One Piece. I hope you all like it.
Portgas D. Ace.
First draft of Ace with a mechanical pencil, this is for me, the most difficult part of the process, because it sets the ground for what is coming, if this draft look good, I know the final result will too.
In this part I drew the lines to know where the shadows will be.
Here I started to draw the lines with ink and stared with his body.
up to this point, the whole outline is finished what is just left to do is to draw the shadows with all the details.
Here you can see a more complete drawing of Ace, but very little details, I thought to this point that I could add a lot more details to make look as epic as Boichi´s artwork.
center>And here is Portgas D. Ace fully drawn with ink, all the drawing was made with a ballpen and a black marker. And I am really happy with the result.
