New Drawing: Captivity.
Good morning everyone,
I bring to you my recent drawing which I titled "Captivity". This drawing shows a guy with a covering on his mouth and pains in his eyes. This signifies him being in a situation whereby he can't help himself or perhaps not doing anything to help himself. He believes staying like that will prevent the worse from happening and not knowing staying like that is allowing the worse to happen.
This is just like what each of us is passing through everyday. We are held captive by people or situations and rather than fight to be free, we stay believing that's the best we can do to help the situation at that moment. Finally at the end of the day, we recount moments of long sorrow. That's shouldn't be so, we should take control of the situations we are in especially the not so good ones and try to get out of it even if it proves difficult. Staying is a wrong decision that should never be considered.
For the drawing, I got the source of inspiration here and I used white charcoal pencil on black sketchbook.

The concept of this work is very important to comprehend right now for every one of us. We are certainly living in a captive state, but must understand that the main freedom to preserve is that within ourselves!!
