Do you know the flower of Stapelia Gigantea? This is it, it's a plant of the apocynaceae family and is a succulent.

This flower is much larger than the branches of the plant to which it belongs, hence its name Gigantea. It also receives the common name of carrion flower. It gives off a stench very similar to rotting flesh, this makes it likely to attract flies.

You can see that it has five star-like spikes. Inside of it you can see the microfilaments that form part of its internal hairs. Its yellow color is predominant with red wine-colored relief grooves that give it a rough appearance.
