A Victory in a Defeat; The Dragon and the Two Men
Once upon a time, in a faraway village, lived two young men (one from a rich family and the other from a poor family) who usually played together, not taking note of their social status.
The main activity of the village was agriculture and farming, but unfortunately, near the village lived a dragon who usually fed off the villagers' animals and some plants, thus making their lives harsh and difficult. Not only was it destroying their yield, but due to the smoke that was coming out of the dragon’s cave, it prevented the efficient growth of the plant. So the only solution was to kill the dragon. But everybody in the village was terrified and scared, apart from the two young men who proposed fighting the dragon.
The entire village armed them with swords and arrows.
At the dragons' cave, they had difficulties entering because of the smoke, yet they could do it. The battle between the dragon and the two men was rough, but in the end, the dragon won the battle. But what the dragon respected was the courage and determination of the two young men. And he proposed posed to go away and leave the village safe, but that he would return once each year to feed the village and thank the villagers for protecting them. The two men, seeing that they were powerless and that no one in the village could defeat the dragon, accepted the deal.
They returned to the village and spread the news, and the villagers were happy, saying that the two young men were heroes. Yes, indeed they were, even if they were defeated. From there, the village became prosperous and nobody could attack the village because they knew the dragon was protecting them.
