[ENG-ESP] My art-aventure: Drawing a Venezuelan seascape with watercolor colors
Hello dear friends of the community, this is my first publication for this community with an exclusive work I hope you like it. It is a seascape of my country Venezuela, specifically the Bay of Cuyagua in the province of Aragua. This is a wonderful place that is visited by foreign travelers, full of sun and magic. The reference image was taken from a photograph that a friend took on one of his last trips. At the end I will leave the link of your photo so that you can comment on your instagram and invite you to sign up for Steemit to share your photos that are great. Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad, hoy quiero compartircon ustedes mi primera publicación para esta comunidad con un trabajo exclusivo que espero sea de su agrado. Se trata de un paisaje marino de mi país Venezuela, específicamente la bahía de Cuyagua en la provincia de Aragua. Este es un lugar maravilloso muy transcurrido por viajeros extranjeros, lleno de mucho sol y magia. La imagen de referencia la tomé de una fotografía que tomo un amigo en uno de sus últimos viajes. Al final dejaré el link de su foto para que puedan comentar su instagram y hacerle la invitación a inscribirse en Steemit para que comparta sus fotografías que son geniales. Sin mas que decir dejo a continuación el proceso paso a paso.
Process
This painting is divided into 4 parts, first I started with the sky, which I painted with light blue as the base color and then a game between turquoise green and lilac. I have mixed the three colors with white to give it a better tone, with a brush soaked in mineral oil I take advantage of its watercolor properties to achieve a better finish.
Este cuadro esta dividido en 4 partes, primero he comenzado con el cielo, al cual lo he pintado con color azul claro como color base y luego un juego entre verde turquesa y lila. Los tres colores los he mezclado con blanco para darle un mejor tono, con un pincel remojado en aceite mineral aprovecho sus propiedades acuarelables para lograr un mejor acabado.
The next part to paint is the sea, to make the sea I used the same colors for the sky blurred with white. I added deeper shades of blue to highlight the dark parts of the ocean waves, and for the foam on the shore of the beach, a pastel white color which when diluted with water provides a raised texture.
La siguiente parte a pintar es el mar, para hacer el mar utilicé los mismos colores para el cielo difuminados con color blanco. Agregué unos tonos mas profundos de azul para resaltar la partes oscuras de las olas del mar, y para la espuma de la orilla de la playa color blanco pastel el cual cuando se diluye con agua brinda una textura de relieve.
Painting solid ground is a bit more complicated because there is not much opportunity to be linear, but it is about making lines to imitate the trees and the land in the distance, I always usually make my drawings from the bottom part to the front. So I start with the hill using dark green and light brown colors, tracing in a circular way to give space to lights and shadows. For the palms the same process but using darker tones to give body to the colors. With a brush and oil we mix and ultimately with light pastels we reinforce lights.
Pintar tierra firme es un poco mas complicado porque no hay mucha oportunidad de ser lineal, sino que se trata de hacer trazos para imitar los arboles y la tierra en la lejanía, siempre suelo hacer mis dibujos desde la parte mas al fondo hacia adelante. Por lo que comienzo con la colina utilizando colores verdes oscuros y marrones claros, trazando de manera circular para dar espacios a luces y sombras. Para las palmas el mismo proceso pero utilizando tonos mas oscuros para darle cuerpo a los colores. Con pincel y aceite mezclamos y en ultima instancia con colores pastales claros reforzamos luces.
Finally and the most difficult to paint the rocks washed away by the waves of the sea. Here I played with the colors since when the stones are wet, their color disappears and they reflect the color of the sky and the sea, so I let myself be carried away by my imagination to be able to paint them and be as detailed as possible. He always used light blue as a base and then mixed with other shades such as green, turquoise, violet, lilac, yellow and orange. Oil was always essential to mix and give shine and color to the finishes that I wanted to achieve.
ultimo y lo mas dificil de pintar las rocas arrastradas por las olas del mar. Aqui jugué con los colores ya que al estar mojadas las piedras su color desaparece y reflejan el color del cielo y del mar, así que me dejé llevar por la imaginación para poder pintarlas y ser lo mas detallado posible. Usaba siempre color azul claro como base y después mezclaba con otros tonos como verde, turquesa, violeta, lila, amarillos y naranjas. El aceite siempre fue escencial para mezclar y darle brillo y color a los acabados que quería lograr.
Final Work
